Shira Gal - Accelerator Director, Beit Issie Shapiro
Shira is the head of Entrepreneurship programs at Beit Issie Shapiro, where she leads the A3I Accelerator and other initiatives, promoting innovative solutions for people with disabilities and the elderly. Shira is an economist and is actively engaged with social businesses in Israel. Until 2015 she worked as a senior analyst in a leading research and strategy firm in Israel, Conducting strategic research and analysis mainly to the governmental ministries. Previously, she provided business advice to SMEs and coordinated the CFOs’ Forum at the Manufacturers association of Israel. Shira serves as mentor and trainer in the Social Economics program at Tel Aviv University. Shira has a BA program in psychology, economics and political science from the Hebrew University and a master's degree in Social and Political Planning from the London School of Economics. |
Gai Hetzroni - Accelerator Manager, PresenTense
Gai is A3I Accelerator Manager for the third cohort of A3i at PresenTense. He is also the founder and CEO of GeoFree Software and a board member of ITWorks. Through the end of 2015, Gai managed CSR at Cisco, where he facilitated the 2010 ACE-awarded outsourcing program and other capacity building programs and accelerators in the Palestinian Territories. Gai started and managed the Ma’antech initiative for five years. Gai also led the Cisco Networking Academy in Israel, Greece, and Cyprus and supports the Arab entrepreneurship scene in Israel. Prior to that, Gai was an Engineering Manager and Program Manager at Cisco R&D and other companies, specializing in embedded systems. Gai holds a computer science degree from the Technion, Israel. |
Gil Markovitz
Gil has practical experience in the field of entrepreneurship, including co-founding three initiatives and 7 years in different training roles. She teaches in PresenTense, and is an active alumna of LEAD - leadership development program in Israel. Gil volunteers in the Common Grounds foundation (educating teenagers about gender equality and raising awareness of gender gaps). Gil works as the project manager in the Nobel for Education Association and develops the activities of the association. Gil also works as content editor of the IDC's academic podcast which spreads academic information to the public. Gil has a bachelor's degree in law and government from IDC Herzliya and is currently pursuing her masters in philosophy from the Tel Aviv University, writing about the philosophy of music. As a cultural enthusiast Gil frequents museums and stays up to date on any cultural content. She also works as sales manager of Epos, the international art film festival. In her spare time Gil practices Opera singing. |
